Carbone New York is a renowned Italian-American restaurant located at 181 Thompson Street in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of Manhattan. Established in 2013 by Major Food Group—led by Mario Carbone, Rich Torrisi, and Jeff Zalaznick—the restaurant pays homage to mid-20th-century Italian-American dining, offering a nostalgic yet elevated experience.
The ambiance at Carbone is a blend of vintage glamour and contemporary elegance. Guests are greeted by tuxedo-clad captains and are seated amidst plush banquettes, vintage photographs, and bold artwork, including pieces by Julian Schnabel. The interior design evokes the classic Italian-American restaurants of New York's past, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Carbone offers private and semi-private event spaces for special occasions. The main dining room can accommodate up to 80 guests seated or 100 guests for a reception-style event. Additionally, the Back Room and Front Room are available for smaller gatherings, seating up to 50 and 30 guests, respectively. These spaces provide an elegant setting for celebrations and corporate events.
Carbone's menu features signature dishes inspired by the culinary history of Little Italy. Highlights include spicy rigatoni vodka, veal Parmesan, Caesar salad prepared tableside, and lobster fra diavolo. The restaurant is known for its theatrical service, with flambéed desserts and dramatic presentations that enhance the dining experience.
