COTE is a Michelin-starred Korean steakhouse located in the Design District (3900 NE 2nd Ave, Miami, FL 33137). It opened in February 2021 under Simon Kim, bringing the format of elevated Korean BBQ combined with the refinement of a classic American steakhouse.
COTE Miami’s atmosphere and design are bold, luxurious, and carefully balanced between high-glamour and high-comfort. The space spans about 5,892 sq. ft. in the Miami Design District, designed by MNDPC to echo its New York flagship while adding elements of Art Deco and Miami flair. From the moment you arrive, there’s a sculptural, polished entrance (dark glass doors, brass, sculpted façades) that leads into a dimly lit but richly textured interior.

COTE periodically hosts special culinary & cultural events—things like “Somm Supper Series,” featuring curated wine-and-food pairings led by their sommeliers from their extensive 1,200-plus bottle wine list. They’ve also done “Art After Dark” during Art Basel, turning the restaurant into a gallery-meets-dining space with art exhibits, themed cocktails, and special prix-fixe menus.
At COTE, the service is polished, attentive, and designed both to showcase the food and to enhance the overall experience. Waitstaff are professional and well-trained, guiding guests through the interactive Korean steakhouse format — from explaining the tableside smokeless grills to helping cook prime beef cuts when needed.
