Grayhawk is a top tier daily fee golf club (meaning you don’t need a membership) established in 1994. It features two 18-hole, par-72 championship courses (Talon and Raptor) each with its own style and challenge.
The setting is classic Scottsdale desert: views of the McDowell Mountains, abundant desert vegetation (mesquite, palo verde, ironwood), and dramatic desert topography like wash areas and box canyons. Clubhouse and amenities are upscale: full locker rooms, multiple dining options, a large pro shop, and stylish gathering spots. The design balances challenge and beauty: from tee boxes you get visual drama (drops, canyons) but the architecture ensures playability, especially around greens where run-offs and generous approaches give chances to recover.

Grayhawk has hosted major tournaments — for instance, the Frys.com Open (a PGA Tour event) on Raptor, and both the NCAA Men’s & Women’s Golf Championships in recent years. It’s very highly rated among public courses in Arizona.
Several on-site dining options: Phil’s Grill (a sports‐pub style place to relax after golf), Quill Creek Café (American fare with a Southwestern twist), Isabella’s Kitchen (American-Italian), and The Morning Joint (coffee / breakfast) among others.
