Hollywood VOLUME (formerly Tommie Hollywood) relaunched in October 2024 as part of Marriott International’s Tribute Portfolio. It’s located in Hollywood’s Vinyl District. With 212 rooms, it’s designed to appeal to travelers who want boutique style, social energy, and creative design touches rather than big-chain blandness.

Atmosphere & Design

The aesthetic is mid-century modern meets Californian funk and Palm-Springs road-trip vibes — warm and earthy tones, natural materials, hardwood floors, floor-to-ceiling windows to let in light and views. Rooms are comfortable, often minimalist but stylish, with views of the city or Hollywood Hills. The public spaces (lobby/lounge, rooftop, pool deck) lean fun, social, and vibrant.

Entertainment & Events

Regular programming: Taco Tuesdays at KA’TEEN; live music nights; rooftop social hours; line dancing / cowboy karaoke nights at the rooftop bar. The hotel also hosts pop-ups, art installations, social hours (complimentary canapés on some nights), etc.

Dining Services

At Hollywood VOLUME, dining is built for discovery, featuring inventive venues like KA’TEEN, a Mexican/Yucatan-inspired restaurant by Chef Wes Avila where bold Latin flavors, creative cocktails, and a lively, immersive atmosphere come together, and Desert 5 Spot, the rooftop bar which channels the free-spirited soul of 1970s Palm Springs mixed with desert/motels nostalgia, complete with tacos, jukeboxes, live bands, and weekend DJs. The lobby VOLUME Café serves throughout the day with coffee, light bites, and snacks.
