Whirlwind Golf Club, located in Chandler, Arizona, offers a premier 36-hole golfing experience set against the scenic backdrop of the Sierra Estrella Mountains and the Gila River Indian Community. Established in 2000 and designed by architect Gary Panks, the club features two championship courses: Cattail and Devil’s Claw. Both courses are celebrated for their integration into the natural desert landscape, showcasing native vegetation such as saguaro cacti, mesquite, and palo verde trees, along with rolling terrain and panoramic mountain views.

Atmosphere & Design

Whirlwind Golf Club offers a tranquil desert golf experience, with no residential development on the property, ensuring uninterrupted views of the surrounding mountains and desert landscape. The courses are designed to blend seamlessly with the natural terrain, preserving the cultural heritage of the Gila River Indian Community. The layout emphasizes strategic shot-making, with each hole offering unique challenges and scenic vistas.

Entertainment & Events

The club hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including tournaments, leagues, and special golf outings. Notably, it served as the venue for the LPGA's Ford Championship in 2025. Additionally, the club's location within the Wild Horse Pass complex provides access to a range of entertainment options, including dining, gaming, and cultural experiences.
